Jonathan C. Rappaport, Executive Director of Arts|Learning, 2008-2018, remains steadfast in our world of arts advocacy. Few have accomplished as much in this field, and his contributions to Arts Education in Massachusetts and nationally are substantial and enduring.

A|L has benefited inordinately from Jonathan’s dedication, leadership, and vision for advancements in arts education; and to honor him is to honor this organization. In the spirit of his lasting contributions, we have created the Jonathan Rappaport Legacy Fund (JRLF) and ask you to donate in his name to carry on Jonathan’s lifework and uphold the mission of Arts|Learning.

Since 1980, A|L has been at the forefront in promoting the revision of the Massachusetts Arts Curriculum Framework, developing the Arts Foundational Skills Progressions, advocating for professional arts content staffing at the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, accessibility of arts data of all public school districts and schools for public review, and adequate funding for the arts in education at all levels.
