Arts|Learning Site Use Guidelines

Statement of Purpose
The purpose of the A|L website is to provide:

* Information on specific programs and services that enable A|L to fulfill its mission;
* Administrative context for A|L programming including leadership, partners, and historical overview;
* Tools for advocates to garner support for arts education in schools and communities;
* Opportunities to engage in an online community and to develop and share expertise by participating in dialogue through a blog, discussion forums, curriculum sharing, and more; and,
* news and information that will keep users informed of the latest arts in education issues.


Guidelines and Rules of Conduct
* We invite you to participate in a productive and cooperative ongoing dialogue.
We we ask that you abide by these general guidelines.
1. Treat others with respect and courtesy.
2. We encourage discussion of topics and issues as partners in a mutual endeavor working toward the common goal of promoting arts education.
3. We welcome vigorous healthy debate that does not violate principle #1.

* By registering you agree to abide by the following rules of conduct. A|L reserves the right to take action which may include warning, request to leave, or termination of your A|L account for violations of the following rules.

NALC websites users members may not:
1. Post illegal content, nor advocate illegal or violent acts.
2. Violate intellectual property rights. (Refer to Creative Commons License statement for details regarding content sharing and cross-posting material.)
3. Engage in personal attacks including those based on gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, nationality, religion, religious or spiritual views, age, or disability.
4. Use foul language, curse words, or sexually explicit language.
5. Engage in deliberately disruptive behavior. While dissenting views are welcome, if it appears that you have no interest in engaging in productive dialogue and if your demonstrated purpose seems to be to disrupt and agitate the operation of this website including the use of hostilities or abusive language you may be subject to removal.
